Buses on the move

February 21st, 2010

Today saw a number of buses moved around the Barry depot, with the aim of creating more space. This will enable the group to house even more buses. One of the new vehicles which will be housed here is an excellent late example of a Leyland Tiger cub. Below is a short video of a ride on this vehicle and of it crossing the threshold into its new home:

A notable bus to be moved in the depot was LNY 903. Below is a video showing it being moved.

A great single deck vehicle owned by the group is its Leyland Lynx mark 1. This is an amazing bus, even with unoriginal body styling. The tour for this video is narrated:

A Bristol LH start up and RE ride

February 18th, 2010

Today saw buses being moved to make more space in the depot pending the arrival of a few more vehicles. Below is a video of one of the resident Bristol LH’s ( OJD 45R ) running:

As an aside, a video was filmed today showing a ride on a Bristol RE ( GHB148N ). It begins in the Barry depot. Enjoy the ride.

Mercedes 711d arrives at the depot

We are pleased to announce the arrival of a new bus at the depot. The Mecedes 711d Entered preservation on Saturday 23rd of January, having been donated by Stagecoach. We would like to thank Stagecoach for their generous donation.
